Currently looking at Lexus ES/Toyota Avalon and Acura TL. What else is out there in that price range.

Volvo S-80 - 2002 or 2003, 80,000 to 90,000 miles are just getting broken for these cars and they are as solid, luxurious, and powerful as any comparable model on the road

Infiniti makes a luxury sedan that you may want to look at. The Q45 was their flagship, but the I35 may be more comparable to the Lexus ES. However, Lexus is hard to beat. I would buy the ES.

Lincoln LS & Cadillac CTS.

I know some won't even consider domestic cars, let alone "old people's cars" like Lincoln and Caddy, but with the rapid depreciation on domestic models you will be hard pressed to beat the price/performance value they offer.

Lincoln LS or Town car, or even a Mercury Montego over the imports mentioned. What is our obsession with making the Japs richer!
