Mark Martin and Dale Jr. are uncomparable.
Mark is reaching the end of his career while Jr's is just reaching what could be the most sucessful part of his career.
As for them flip-flopping back and forth in the standings, Mark has been pretty consistent in the races he has entered. Jr on the other hand, had a rocky sart. He was wrecked at Daytona and had an engine blow at California. Mark should drop again in the standings after Sonoma, and he is taking more of a break in the seconded half of the season. So there sould not be that much more flip-flopping in the standings between the two.

Mark Martin has everything but Nextel Cups on is racing resume. He has, I think, 5 IROC championships to show you how good he is. I like Jr. but Mark Martin is far better. Junior might get there someday, but he sure hasn't yet.
