You can have all of the free hot and cold tea that you want. You can even pick up the phone in your cabin and order it free from room service. You can also take bottles of soft drink with you if you are driving to the port or have a place to purchase soft drinks before you board. I regularly take a 6-pack of 16 oz bottled soft drinks and a 6-pack of bottled water for my cabin. Most cabins now have a mini-refrigerator and they provide ice at least twice a day, more if you ask.

No, water, iced and hot tea, any juice and coffee are typically free in the dining areas and drink stations. Sodas you need to pay a fee for an extra pass and its worth the price. If there are two of you in the cabin, buy ONE soda pass. They should give the buyer a sticker for their sail pass card and a insulated cup. Give the cup to the other person. They can go to any soda dispensing bar and get the soda without being asked for the card with the sticker. The person with the card simply flashes it and gets their drink in a regular glass. This way two can use the soda pass for the price of one.
