Im 17 and traveling from Ohio to Texas. Am i allowed to go without a parent, aka buy the tickets, get on the plane alone, stay in a hotel alone?

Do you have your parents permission? If so, have them make arrange for your plane trip and hotel stay. With parent consent and as long as they arrange it it should be OK.

I doubt seriously you can get a hotel/motel room at 17 . I would be real surprised that any decent one will accept a parent paying for a room over the phone
You could have them call a chin type motel/hotel in the town you live in see if they can sign a room agreement and have it transferred to Texas

17 is OK..no one can tell...remember to carry your dad's/mom's credit card to withdraw cash from ATM and coast!
