Here are some personal stories about people who converted to Christianity from Islam. As (some of) them still live in predominately Muslim countries, some of them are in danger of being killed for apostasy.

I was a Protestant Christian and studied many faiths for 22 years and decided to become a Catholic Christian.
Big step the divisions are, unfortunately large.
But I am over 40, and my parents know how much time I spent in study, so they knew I was not jumping into this decision lightly, that helped as I still respect my father and mother (4th. commandment) I would suggest you REALLY understand the religion you are leaving and why you want to leave, be careful to leave because of one or a group of people within the faith that are bad examples, you are going to find that in ANY group of people.
You also need to do a lot of deep, detailed study of the faith you are considering, read about it from the people that support it and oppose it both, make sure all of your questions are answered.
So, for me, I studied from the time I was 20 until I was 42, by the time I decided, there was no question that it was the right choice for me, I LOVE finally being Catholic, sometimes I regret not converting sooner, but the time missed makes my new faith that much more meaningful.
Who am I to question?
Good Luck in your journey, I hope you find Peace and Happiness and that it leads to eternal life.
Peace!

I converted to Islam. Luckily my parents supported me 100%. Many converts to Islam get a huge backlash from their parents. Its horrible.
It was a wonderful feelingafter I converted. I felt like I finally made the right decision. It was a little hard in the beginning in the sense that everything was so different (language, traditions, etc). Islam especially because there are actual laws to follow. My biggest problem was telling people -- well, I guess my hijab (headscarf) told them before I did verbally. I lost a lot of long time friends, and realised who was true and who was just there to ;hang out' with.
Its tough, but whatever choice you make, know that on the Day of Judgement you will be accountable for it.

I was in theory Christian but my family were not big church goers. I was baptized in a Catholic Church, from a long tradition of Catholics on either side, though. I never took first communion, by that time my mom had distanced herself from that way of thinking altogether and we sometimes attended a Methodist Church.
When I started buying wiccan literature, my mom got nervous but I never heard any open criticism, except "NEVER let your grandmother see this book." lol
I eventually converted fully and now my mother and I attend a Unitarian Universalist Church, which is a church that respects all roads to spirituality. I can be wiccan there and she can be agnostic and we are both happy and still share our points of view.
My husband didn't have it that easy, his mother saw his wicca books and she literally got up and FLED to the nearest protestant church. She attended weekly, extra bible studies during the week, brought her bibles home, begged him to repent, their relationship deteriorated for about 3 years until he eventually confronted her and told her he apprechaited her concern, but he would NEVER ever repent or accept Jesus and she could kick him out of her life for good or accept him the way he was. Everything changed then, they have a great relationship and the subject of jesus hasn't come up in over a year.
All I can tell you is that for me being wiccan was the way gay people claim to be- I was always a wiccan in my soul, and as soon as I found the religion I knew it was for me and I could never subscribe to anything else.
Good luck on your journey, blessed be. : )

If you are honest, don't ask anybody!
Everyone advertises with fake incidents! (like in the tool enlargement ads).
