Jesus of Nazareth was the son of the carpenter Joseph and of the virgin Mary. He is the Son of the Living God and therefore a part of the Trinity. He became the son of Mary and Joseph to give salvation to the world, and is the messenger of God. You could always ask Him yourself. C. S. Lewis said that Jesus was either Lord, lier or lunatic. If He was a lier the crowds would have noticed His contradictions and eventually dispersed, but they only increased as His life went on. If he was a lunatic the same would have happened, it doesn't take a genius to figure out someone is crazy. The only other option left is Lord. C. S. Lewis explians it better than I do. It wouldn't hurt to look up his quote.

With the Christian point of view, Jesus was the Son of God [5] and part of the Trinity [6]. And a messenger of God [2]
Muslim and Jewish people believe Him to be a prophet, though.
He was definately not a cult leader and there is existing proof that he existed.

A prophet; by definition (2}, not 3, because he did not take all worldly goods 4 himself, not 4, there seems to be evidence to the fact that he was a real historical person, 5, because we are all children of a greater source, not trinity, it is a Catholic concept, as such not reliable, no other option available

Jesus was a Jewish person that lived in Judea which was ruled by the Romans. He preached a belief that was not the same as the belief the Jewish people believed during that time. He was punished by the Romans because according to the Roman rule he was convicted as a sort of a trouble maker. Remember, under the Romans, the Jewish people were free to practice their religion. Since Jesus teachings were not in accord with the Jewish belief, he was deemed a trouble maker. His punishment of Crucifixion was the norm during the time under the Roman rule. But, his teachings ultimately conquered the Romans hence they became Christians (Roman Catholics). It;s amazing and miraculous.

I believe Jesus was just a man, probably a good man led to believe he was the chosen one. Some believe he was God..but on the cross, he was asking God why he had forsaken him. I believe Mary was an unwed mother, who in those times, was as bad as murder. The people needed hope, so therefore the saga of Jesus was born. God said he was a jealous God and let there be no one before him, not even a man named Jesus..not Buddah..no one.
