Turkey is a very clean country, cleaner probably than your own! You really don't have to worry about getting sick there! If you have doubts, check WHO website!

i can't understand this kind of attitude! i mean you may be shocked to death if i said turkish doctors are probably in top 10 of Europe. so if by any bad luck you have some awful accident here, i can assure you that people will take care of you well, believe me! another thing is there are no contagious & dangerous illness you can worry about! i'm turkish and i have lived in turkey since i was born but the worst thing i get through is the flu (and that doesn't even happen once in two years) ! to add, turkish people are sterile people, indeed, (it will be irrelevant to the vaccination issue but) i believe we have a smaller aids etc proportion than the us (just 1922 people through the years 1985 to 2004). that's contagious Turkey for you.

I always go to Turkey and i never did any vaccination.I can assure you that in the touristic places the WC are cleaner than other countries i have been.Just one time there was the problem of kus gribi(the bird flue)but as it has been discovered it was just in a part of Turkey, and not only in Turkey. And it has also been discovered that the mass media did a big deal without reason...

Ha ha oh my God, I'd never imagine the extent of prejudices about my country would go this far. No, you don't need a vaccination.

We did when we went. I wouldn't go again. I don't understand why everyone is saying that people hold a prejudice against Turkey just because they are talking about vaccinations. I truly did have to get one, and people are giving my answer a bad rating because they don't like it.

I really cannot understand this kind of questions, that is if they are made because of naiveness or intentionally... In case you have already had decided to visit Turkey, then you should have known that it's a popular touristic destination, and such countries provide a high level of services, bublic health too...
I must also point out that Turks are considered to be very clean, as when they had private and public baths, the rest of Europe didn't even know what a bathroom was.

P.S. If I sound acute, it's because of the kind of question...

P.S. 2. I see I gather the most of thumbs down...We all know the source, DON'T WE?
