The problem with "good cheap" restaurants is if they are good they don't stay cheap for long.

Most restaurants are cheap in Reykjavik, it's finding an expensive one that is harder to do. You are on vacation, eating cheap shouldn't be one of the things you are trying to do. Cheap restaurants are rarely good anywhere in the world.
