Yes, sunscreen will prevent you from getting tanner but not entierly. If you want to get a tan but also protect your skin use just a little bit of sunscreen every hour and your sure to have a beautiful tan and healthly skin!
Hope that helped!

cant do both, sorry. if you get a good tan while wearing sunscreen, its not giving you adequate protection or your not wearing enough. a tan is the damage that suncream is trying to prevent.

the more you tan, the more damaged your skin gets. the more sun screen you wear, the more protection you'll get, but you'll get less tanned. you could use a low factor suncream, it will offer you some protection, but its not the best protection.

you've got to make your own mind up really. but a tan is a short term good thing, where as undamaged skin will be a long term good thing. you can fake a tan now, but you won't be able to fake younger looking skin when you're older.

With sunscreen/sunblock on, you can still get a tan. Sunscreen/sunblock helps prevent sunburn. It blocks 2 of the 3 harmful rays.
It's suggested that you apply it 30 min. before you plan to be in the sun so that your skin can absorb it. Also, don't mix it with bug-repellent. If you choose to use bug-repellent also, let the sunscreen absorb 1st or the mixing can decrease the effectiveness of both.

I'm not sure if it'll make u more tan though.

If you use sunscreen it will protect your skin from UV rays and your skin will still get tanner. It might take a little more since your not burning and tanning right away.

Nope, it just prevents you from getting burnt! I want to be tanner as well, and I always use sunscreen, however I am still tanning. ALWAYS use sunscreen.

Unless you want skin cancer.

no!!!! YOu can still get tan if you use sunscreen. Use a high SPF, like over 20, and then put on a tanning oil/spray. You will get a burn-less tan.

No. Use like an spf 15-30 to protect your skin, especially on your face. You will still get tan. I used spf 45 while down in cancun on my face, and 30 on my body... Im still dark. Spf is a PROTECTION.... Your skin still reacts to the light.
