I am going to buy TUNDRA laminate from IKEA and the reason was that the color. I liked the white color. The price is 1.25 sf (Canadian). I appreciate if anyone has any experience with IKEA laminate let me know if that is a good choice.

Thanks

It is a mid-range quality. Good value for the price. Other stores sell that quality of product for around $2 per square foot.

That's the same as we have and I love it. If you find a puddle on the flooring (dropping glass of water, etc.) just wipe up. If water stands on laminate or true wood flooring some damage will occur. Therefore wipe up as soon as you see standing water. Laminate is easy clean. As far as cleaning use a special spray and then mop. Easy enough to do. I like laminate over wood flooring because it takes less work. Doesn't need refinishing. No laminate floor comes in different qualities which would you can pick from. Where ever purchase be sure to ask a lot of questions about qualities. I see no reason not to put laminate in your kitchen. Spill and wipe. Right now we have tile, which eventually I would like to use laminate. Back when I had the choice between laminate and carpeting I truly wished I would have picked laminate. Winded up ripping carpeting up and installing laminate. We have a cat and she always winds up throwing up air balls on carpeting. It's so much easier to clean off the laminate. Couple swipes with paper towels and last pipe up and all is back to normal. I recommend laminate.

My Fiance has Ikea flooring in the office of a custom woodworking shop - believe it or not! It is very durable and easy to clean. now he wishes we had used that rather than the Pergo we used in our house, go figure! We could have saved alot of money. I really liked the white color too and I'm thinking of putting it in my bedroom for a cottage/ beachy theme. I don't think you will be disappointed with the Ikea flooring!

This is a very good and sturdy product - I especially appreciated that I could self install. I had it in a "mud room" at my old house and will probably put it in the play room because it is so low maintenance and it is really lovely too.
