Well for starters it's the Internet ... so they have every choice to. Um, as for the 'there are no true atheists' part anyone who doesn't believe in some kind of power beyond our world could be considered atheist if they don't support your particular religion. It depends on your views. Most are the believers in evolution in that humans came from apes and we are all in some weird way connected like that. They aren't talking to God when they get the breath scared out of them they are cursing God since after all it is a sin to take the Lords name in vein like that. To each their own, if you still feel that there are no real atheists then go ahead, I can't change your mind just because we disagree. Anyway, I hope you find some resolution and take care!
- Please leave Christianity and the gay part out of it ... (to an answer above and any one else that wants to target that). That's just morons in there that are trying to be high and mighty. This coming from a Christian also.

a) "Why do Atheist come to a religious and spiritual question site?"
The same reason fundimental religious types try to insert their beliefs into public schools, science and other things that effect said atheists.
Additionally, would you only have royalty posting questions/answers in the Royalty category?
b) "There are no true Atheist any way! They cuss the name, so if they are Atheist who are they talking to."
You are jumping to conclusions. Let me address this in two points:
1/ 'Oh my god' does not necessarily refer to your god. There are more gods in mythology than you can shake a metaphorical stick at.
2/ As with 'God knows' and 'Thank god', I would be speaking metaphorically, not literally. These phrases have worked their way into common speach much in the same way many foreign words have worked their way into other languages.
I hope this clears things up for you, atheists do not talk to god and they come here to debate religious/spiritual subjects.

It's asked a lot here, Dwayne, but it's still an interesting question. There are as many reasons as there are nonbelievers, or unbelievers, here. To some it's a way to vent, to others it's reaffirmation of their atheism, and for others it is, I believe, part of a journey of discovery--a search, believe it or not, for spirituality of some sort. Some atheists ultimately embrace one of the Asian or New Age "religions." And many are reacting to the Old Testament, which is, you have to admit, a primitive, often brutal, inhumane, and even evil account of the comings and goings of a Bronze Age tribe of murdering desert nomads. Some of the younger ones mirror their generation, which came of age in the "me me me" decade, but others simply read posts and rarely, if ever, respond to questions because to them there is nothing to say about a god which they believe does not exist. And, gosh knows, some folks, both religious ones and non-religious ones, are just plan obnoxious and lonely, and, out there in the real world, alone and ignored. Geeks.

Is Buddhism a religion? And according to your religion, exactly what makes you think you can judge anyone or know anything about anyone? Are you ready for that same measure to be measured against you? You do realize that Jesus said that, don't you? Forgiveness does not cover judgement, you will still be judged, and it will be with the same measure in which you judged others. If I were you, I'd start being nice to atheists and everyone else, quickly.

Coming right here even with the undeniable fact this is a sturdy communicate board to computer screen god-fodder dance the bible dance and hoot and holler like madmen approximately their perception in the only actual means (this is definitely 3... powers.. okayyy, no longer totally grasping monotheism eh?) to computer screen human beings preserve homicide the two large and small and to declare this malevolent, spiteful, hateful, jealous, misogynistic, racist, genocidal, newborn-god is a sturdy and benevolent being. the place else can i hit upon considered one of those idiocy for loose? Oh, wait, nevermind, this is everywhere.

When you post bull like this is it really surprising
Liar - we don't believe in your imaginary diety - get over it
I also say bugger me - and I don't mean it as invitation to anal sex. have you never heard of a figure of speech. Don't be so silly.
Liar - thats twice - I guess you're hoping your diety of choice doesn't have a 3 strikes rule. if an atheist was "talking to god" then they wouldnt be an atheist. I've never talked to any god including yours
it's "they're" but I note the mispelling of their. At least you managet o get atheist right.

Why do many hypocritical "christians" always find a reason to critisize people who don't agree with everything they say? Just asking. There are true atheists too and when they get scared they don't talk to something they don't believe in.

Whoa, you need to calm down. Have some acceptance for others, and do not generalize like that. Most atheists are very respectable, moral, and open to other beliefs. What happened to you to make you hate them so much?

Why don't you check to see that this is THE most asked question on R&S? Why does it bother you that people from all paths of life come to an OPEN PUBLIC forum to ask and answer questions? Are you that afraid that they'll challenge your beliefs and they might change?
1. Atheists are welcome here. EVERYONE is.
2. They have a right to ask questions and answer from their perspective.
3. Many atheists have a spiritual life.. they choose to leave a "god" out of it.
