Basically you're screwed.
Once the infection has produced pressure in the inner ear, there isn't much anybody can do about it. Aspirin because it is an excellent anti-inflammatory to help ease the pain and begin to ease the swelling that causes it. Then you've just got to wait it out.
Antibiotics from the doctor can help your body kill the infection if it is a bacteria, but as often as not, it is a virus and won't respond to the antibiotic. Studies have shown that ear infections tend to clear up in about the same time whether antibiotics are administered or not so I wouldn't bother.
There isn't much anybody can do about it once it starts.

You need to get to a doctor if you haven't already. The antibiotics should work in just a few days. I had chronic ear infections up until I was in high school. I also took some sort of pain killer like advil or tylenol. I also had either a heating pad or hot water bottle handy at all times. That seems to help alot. Plus, that always made me sleepy so if the pain didn't go away, at least I could sleep a little through it.

the doctors usually prescribe amoxicillin for ear infection. I am not sure if there are over the counter medicines for ear infection. you can Try motrin or tylenol to get rid of the pain, but it will not get rid of the ear infection, and the pain might come back in 6 hours.

You need to see a dr. But, my fiance swears that if you have someone smoke a ciggarette and blow smoke into the ear, it relieves the pain.... I don't know about it, though. But, it's worth a shot, it's pretty unbearable pain... also are you sure it's an ear infection. If it is just pain because you have water or some fluid trapped in there, try buying some "swimmer's ear" drops and put some in your ear... it's instant relief.

your doctor can prescribe you an pain relieving ear drop that has antibiotic in it as well to help with the pain. I do not believe there is anything over the counter for ear pain. Maybe someone else will know, but sounds like someone needs to take a look at your ears.

Try heating a wet washcloth in the microwave for 1 min 30 sec then put it in a zip lock bag & place on your ear. Moist heat workls great. Take some asprin too.
If the pain is unbarable, you need to get an antibiotic from your doctor. It won't go away. Also, take some Sudifed to clear up the fluid in the ear.

Take vitamin C to boost your immune system, it will help you to combat infection. Increase Zinc intake, it reduces ear infection. Eat a healthy diet with lots of calcium in it. Avoid processed foods and hydrogenated oils. Stress on breast feeding for infection in infants.
or
Pour some garlic juice in the paining ear; its antibiotic qualities will help to relieve the pain. If your earache is due to rise in altitude than just chew gum or yawn. This will contract the muscles and open the Eustachian tubes. For swimmer's ear, put some mineral oil in both ears before going in the water. Apply some heat to your aching ear using a heating pad or a warm cloth. Put few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the aching ear. Put two drops of holy basil leaves’ juice in the aching ear.

I have had those several times.
You MUST go to a doctor, get the proper antibiotics (both ear drops and pills) and some strong pain meds.
If you wait too long, the infection may damage your hearing permanently and spread to your jaw bone.

The doctor can prescribe medicine that helps the pain, but there is over the counter stuff as well. Go to your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what you could use for the pain.
