Put your tea-bag and sugar in first. NEVER put your milk in at this stage, sugar dissolves better in boiling hot water and the milk cools it down. Then add your hot water, stir like crazy, squeeze the bag, add milk and then stir again.

I'm gonna go and make one now actually, you've made me thirsty.

The Kathy Burke way!
I saw this on Room 101 a couple of years ago.
One of Kathy's hates was herbal tea (yuck nasty flowery things) and she went on to describe how to make the perfect cup of tea.
Kathy Burke Tea-

2 teabags (must be PROPER tea ie- English Breakfast such as PG Tips or Tetley).
Milk in first.
2 sugars.

Add the boiling water and stir, but don't "muller" the tea bag, that's why there's 2 so you don't have too wait too long or squeeze the bag too much.
Remove teabags, stir and enjoy!

Whilst using 2 tea bags at a time is a little extravagant, Kathy is not only a great comedienne/actress, she also knows what she's talking about when it comes to a cuppa!

the best way to make the perfect cuppa is with tea leaves...and a teapot...firstly boil the water put some in the pot swirl it around to make the pot warm..empty it out..then put 2teaspoonsful of tea in and another for the pot as they say..then pour the boiling water on to it leave it for a minute then stir it up...put your milk in the cup first..not after it does make a difference to the perfect cuppa.....and when you have finished drinking it..you can read your fortune with the leaves at the bottom of the cup...lol
