I am a Christian and I think that some of these are hilarious. I mean where do they come up with some of these...especially like Bible Thumper...WHAT? Where does that come from?

Bible Thumper comes from those people who go about witnessing to others with a full size Black KJV and everytime they make a point, they tap or slap their Bible. We have a few that come to LSU regularly and they tell us that we are all going to Hell. Even the other Christians on campus find their approach to be a little too extreme to be effective.

A Bible thumper refers to someone who takes the Bible very serious and cites references on occasion to resolve discrepancies.
As far as giving stereotypical names for Christians, what purpose would that serve? If you are a Christian, you wouldn't be looking to poke fun at your family.
If someone is not a Christian and were poking fun or disrespecting a religious group of over 1.3 billion, that would suggest that they were jealous or afraid that the "group of peace" was growing too strongly. If it is a group of peace, which it is, don't worry...they can't harm you, they can only help you!

They call Christians Bible Thumpers because they forcibly try to get you to listen to what they're saying, like "thumping" you with the Bible.

I don't get called this but when people tell me they don't go to church because they don't want to be around "hypocrits" Wich I don't understand. My church is awesome! They think that just because you go to church that they are supose to be perfect....no one is... sorry. Or even Jesus freak...that's a song also.
