Last night I kinda had a lil argument with a little 13yr old because she posted a question asking for some tips on how to improve her masturbating techniques because she wanted to get a better orgasm...and my answer was " you are only 13...you lil freak!" Later on she contacted me through yahoo messenger and she was asking me why I had called her a freak and she also asked me how old I was when I started masturbating.....how silly was she???

I think the 13 year ols should worry more about school and be less worried about any sexual tendancies she has. so no 13 year olds should not be asking these types of questions on yahoo.

...personally?... I'm not going to argue the merits of who should be masturbating and when really. People masturbate...it's simply a known fact of nature seriously. Those who say they don't masturbate reasonably?....they're just liers hun! If she was mentally and physically inclined and sincere, and all of 13 years old and feeling like she wants to masturbate privately with herself or something?...then who are we to encourage or not encourage her little masturbation fantasy here and whatnot otherwise? Heck!!!...everybody masturbates at one time or another in their lifetime honestly. Some masturbate more then others reasonably! My theory?...help her out a little bit with a response sweetie. Basic Sharia Law at its worst. State law has broken down, local ( might as well be black magic for what use it has in the 21st century ) religious fanatics have taken over the vacuum. They are blinded by twisted faith & are still living in the Dark Ages, what makes it worse is these meted punishments are fast taking over from human common sense. I think it's a matter of personal standards. I think it's ok to masturbate at such a young age. Better to vent sexual build-up this way than humping some random guy that's for sure. And being curious is natural as well, if you're uncomfortable with a child probing with your private life that's understandable too LOL.

Why are you trying to embarrass her about something like that? She is 13 but you sound even more immature. Girls develop at earlier ages now, it's not uncommon for a girl to get her period at 10 or 11. A lot of people masturbate, maybe even most do. Masturbating never hurt anyone... people have such dumb ideas about it. People are more accustomed to hearing about pregnant 13 year olds instead of 13 year old girls asking for masturbation advice.

I recall starting when I was about 11, but we didn't have the net then. If we had, maybe I would have found out many more techniques? :)) No, I don't think it's a problem. She simply shouldn't have mentioned that she was 13 then no-one would have thought any more of it.

13 year old girls and boys masturbate.
If they become curious as to technique, what are the "appropriate" forums for them to ask questions about it?

She is not silly. She is however looking in the wrong place for answers. There are books and such to explain how and what to do. Too many pervs out there would take advantage of this situation.

She actually wasnt that silly at all. My preference for my daughter at 13 would be for her to masturbating at home rather than experimenting with sex outside the house and possibly getting into trouble. How do we deal with teens and sex when they think oral sex isnt sex. Getting better masturbation techniques is ok by me.

well at an age like that, some teens start to experiment and of course it could be masturbation, so she may be a freak to you, but to some others it perfectly normal, but to me, its better shes doing that rather than having sex and getting pregnant and whatever, i think you both are silly
