It depends. If I am looking to make a lot of money, I would pick a young, marketable driver who can win, like Harvick. Not only can Harvick win races, he is young and attractive. I would expect a lot of marketing deals with him. Furthermore, he is quite the character. His personality would be really fun to work with.
On the other hand, if I was looking to get an older, more experienced driver, I would pick Jeff Burton. He has proved with his resurgance at Childress that he can still win races. Not only that, he provides leadership and doesn't make rash decisions on the track that could tear up race cars.

Jimmie Johnson. Most wins, most top 5s and most top 10s in the last five years of any driver. He also has NEVER finished worse than 5th in the srtandings. He has arguably the best crew chief and has had the most consistent results since he's raced full time in the cup series (2002). I would take Jeff Gordon after that and Matt Kenseth 3rd. If I'm limited to your 2 options I would build around Tony who's by far a better driver.

I would want to team up with Harvick... wouldn't that mean teaming up with Jeff Burton too? So, that would be my route.

I would take them both, along with burton and hamlin. Then my team would have a better stable than Hendrick.

I think Jimmie Johnson would be who I would start a team around. Well spoken, proven driver... a sponsors dream.
(He is not who I pull for... but he would be a good person to build a team around)

If those are the choices, I guess Stewart. If I could pick anybody, it would be Dale Jr.... Might not be the most accomplished driver out there right now, but with his marketability he would make me the most money!

for me it would be close. Tony Stewart is an established driver who will get you wins and championships. my other choice would be Denny Hamlin because he is a great driver and he is still very young, he will win a championship soon.
I would take Tony
