Maybe ... stranger things have happened. My sister handed a wallet in last year and got a very nice letter from the lady who lost it, it made her day! On the other hand, my BIL went to a lot of trouble to return a lost dog some years ago and the owner couldn't even be bothered to say 'thanks'.

Really, it depends on the quality of the person who lost it, if they are a decent person or not. Someone whose diamond and platinum bracelet is handed in SHOULD think themselves very lucky and write a nice thankyou, imo.

Best wishes :-)

Probably not. The police may not give them your contact information.

However, karma works in mysterious ways, and I've got no doubt that your honest and kindness will be rewarded. :)

And for the record, I hope I never lose anything, but if I do - I REALLY hope YOU find it. It's awesome to know there are decent people left.

Hope this all works out for you but a friend of mine handed a purse in at the police station and after a week or so was asked in for questioning concerning a robbery...
Even had the cheek to ask if he took anything from the purse before handing it in....
As you can imagine he wont be a GOOD citizen again and who could blame him...

Does it matter? If it's not claimed you can claim it for your own, not sure of time. Police should have told you.If the owner claims it they'll probably want to thank you. But just feel good knowing you did the right thing.

Who brings a platinum diamond bracelet, to the beach?
People are stupid.

God bless you for being such a good person, most people would keep it or sell it to get money.

I doubt you will hear from them either because, people are stupid, cops won't tell them, or they will never get it.

=] hope you do though, you deserve it.

You hope someone would thank you -
it is only the right thing to do but how would they find you ?
You were a good person to turn it in just the same. You did the right thing - and for that pat yourself on the back - and smile.
If the police took your name and # down - they may -

hahaha you stupid bastard, you take a lottery winning find like that and you give it up. Sucker.

I say this because no matter how much you want to think the world is a utopian place, things don't work like that.

That bracelet will sit in some lost and found box for eternity, or go home with the Chief as a gift to his wife. While the owner who either 1) has so much money could care less or 2) has it covered by insurance so they dont care anyway.

It would be nice to think that you would, if I had lost it I would certainly want to reward the finder....it's also nice to know that there is still honest people out there.
