Max, I understand your frustration in this. Religion (NOT God) has been the LARGEST single cause of killing, murder, war, hatred and discord on this Planet for thousands of years. Outpacing ALL other sources COMBINED. Until RELIGIONS (not worship but the organizations of Religion) can learn to tolerate each others' prescence on the Earth, respect each others' validity as a personal relationship with the Creator, there WILL continue to be strife on this world. When ONE group of people feel that their OWN way is the ONLY way, and USE that assumption as a basis to justify hatred against those who do not follow their ways then, by default, they give permission for THOSE groups to hate THEM in return.
They KEY here is love and respect. To receive love and respect for YOUR religion, then you must GIVE love and respect for their religion. It's a two way street and, to behave in any other way is selfish and narrow minded.

Jesus asks his followers to kill those that do not wish him to be king (Luke 19). In the quran, the muslims are asked to chop the fingertips off non believers and then slay their throats. (Sura 8:12,13, and Sura 2:216). How am I supposed to get along with all these people that want to kill me due to their religious beliefs.
