my dog seems to be able to, he'll be in the front yard barking at something that i can't see.

I think they see things we cannot see, yes.

It seems possible, doesn't it? They have extrasensory perceptions that humans don't have. Like the ones who have saved their master's life by alerting them to a heart attack, stroke, diabetic coma coming on, and such.
So because there is an invisible world out that, spoken of in the Bible, I wouldn't doubt they can sense something.
It is important to distinguish things, though. My sister's dog barks at airplanes, but they live near the airport. My own dog in the back yard was barking at the ground, at a plant about to burst above the ground. When I bent down to watch it come out, he bit it right off. (it was funny, but disappointing.)
They have a keen sense of hearing, and it could be a squirrel in a tree. Ask God to reveal to you exactly what it is your dog is barking at.

Its absolutely possible. Animals aren't trained, as we are from a young age, that it isn't possible. Plus dogs especially have stronger senses than humans naturally. Your dog might not actually see the spirit, but he could surely sense it, especially if its a chaotic spirit that he might view as a threat.

Your dog has a stronger sense of smell and sight than you. Of course he is barking at something you can't see.

Some people think they can but you dog could be barking at a smell he smells that's too faint for your nose to pick up, or a sound that your ears can't hear.

My Cat always stares at this one spot on the wall she seems to sense the evil beings that are hiding in there.
Dohhh!!!
Of course not, your dog is probably sniffing some smell there from other times where he pooped or peed on that very same spot.

In answer to your question............ Yes they can. Although I don't know if that is what is going on with your dog, (maybe) An animal and a child can see things that most people can't.

Of course its possible, If you'd just open your third eye you'd see it to! Or it could be just the fact that your dog may be listening to something out of your range of hearing!

Yes they can see spirits and after they have passed on we can see them if we truly want to.

loo yes they can..well not really.
They get alerted when something strange or even threating is near, its a feeling they get, no one really know if they could "see" it or not. But most definantly they can sense them.
