Having a hard time here, do you mean injection or ignition? On an 89 I would guess if it just died that it is probally the TFI ignition module that is bolted on the side of the distributor. It takes a special wrench to undo the screws that hold it on, it can be bought cheaply at most parts stores. When installing it you must loosen and turn the distributor housing thus changing the timing. The timing has to be set with a timing light, I have seen several people do them by carefully marking the distributor base and the intake, since the computor system adjusts the timing anyway you can ussually get them close enough. If your problem is in the injection system it is most likely over your head and best left to a qualified mechanic.
