My puppy will not sleep at night. She sleeps fine during the day when we have her out, but when we put her in the kennel at night she cries. We let her sleep with a blanket, stuffed animal, alarm clock, and radio and yet she still will cry and bark. Any suggestions of what to do?

time, time and more time....also before bed give her some excersie...long walk or some playing around in the yard....it will help her sleep better..but you are doing everything else right....we put a blanket over our dogs kennel to really make it like a cave...took him about a week..after that never made a peep..stay postive and do not give up..or your puppy wins

Ahh! The joys of puppy hood! I've found that if I take the puppy for a walk before bedtime, it helps to tire them out so they'll go to sleep when the lights go out. I also keep them awake longer during the day so that they're sleepy.

Good luck!

If she is a new puppy you will just have to get used to her crying for a couple weeks. Eventually she will get used to the routine and go right to sleep in her kennel.

Oh i know what you are going through i got my pit pup at 6 weeks of age. he wouldn't stop crying , i take him out enough to go potty and right back in i would lay next to his create and rub his head. At this age they cant hold it in as long. she maybe telling you i have to go out. Try it it worked for me. now hes 11 weeks old and he only wakes me up at 7:00-7:30 am to go out. Just give her time. dont give in to her pet her in ther cage even when you put her in the cage at nigh give her a treat, and praise her. Also when your home leave the create open let her in and out. I put his toys in there and i even fed him in there a couple times. Never use the create as a punishment you want her to like it. I hope this help it worked for me! GOOD LUCK!

Try making a warm press, it is very relaxing and worked for my rabbit when I was little. Also, try keeping your little guy awake in the day so that night can be his sleeping time. :D enjoy your puppy!

Are you still giving in? =) That may be why.

And try a hot water bottle. Sometimes that helps.

Give her an article of your clothing, not washed, with your aroma.
