It's an oxymoron ..... an immortal human? Nope, doesn't work.
An immortal soul residing temporarily in a mortal body? Now that's another thing altogether. Yes, that'll work.....

No. Death cannot be checked by anyone or from any source within this material world.
Wherever there is the influence of eternal time, there is this set of tribulations, namely birth, disease, old age and death, and all of them are invincible.
Some foolish Russian scientists also claim that they are going to make man immortal through scientific advancement. Under the leadership of such crazy fellows, civilization is going on. Cruel death, however, comes and takes all of them away despite their desire to live forever.
But the soul is immortal, and how is this living force displayed immortally? It is not displayed by man or any other creature in this material universe, for none of us are immortal in these bodies. We possess the living force, we perform activities, and we are immortal by our nature and constitution, but the material condition into which we have been put does not allow our immortality to be displayed. It is stated in the Katha Upanisad that eternality and the living force belong to both ourselves and God.

Let there(on earth) be LIGHT(ONLY)
Our Father, thy will be done(on earth)
It's "allegory" about Law vs Grace
Law: mortal, corruptible, imperfect... This
Grace: immortal, incorruptible, perfect... That
God did not send his Son to condemn(law), no, not This
but That: the world through him might be saved(graced)
For this corruptible must put on (that) incorruption,
and this mortal [must] put on (that) immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on (that) incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on (that) immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Grace neither tempts(laws) nor can be tempted(lawed).
Grace cannot lie(law) nor die(law). Law Law does both.
Plato: no law or ordinance is mightier than understanding.
Solomon: with all thy getting, get understanding = "grace"
The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord J->C with you->all. Amen.

I was reading my bible, looking at the creation part of the bible and thinking about what I read. It says that man was created in the image of God, this MAY have meant that man was just like god, initially death was not an issue for mankind being in Adam. I believe that death was a result of Adam and eve's disobedience to the word that GOD gave them.

Nope. Flesh wears out and dies. There is no technological solution yet.
primoa: Read your biblical myth and stop recirculating Miltonian myth - your 'holy' book does not say hell lasts forever.

the soul reincarnates and recycles itself every time you die so in a way, a part of a human can be immortal. every birthday you have, your other personalities from previous lives join together in union for the occasion.
