Yes. The word Ghost comes from the Germanic word for Spirit. (Holy Ghost = Holy Spirit) Ghosts are the spirits of people who have died. I don't really understand for what purpose they would be "haunting" a location, but I believe that the world of spirits is very close to our own--as if it were just another dimension, but here on Earth. I do not believe that when we die, we immediately go to Heaven or Hell, as many people think. I believe that the spirit world is an intermediate existence where we go after we die while we are waiting for the resurrection. While some are in a free and happy state after they die, others are in "prison" and must contemplate all the terrible things they did during their lifetime.

I'm not sure, I've yet to determine just what a ghost really is! Are they dead people? Or are they alive, and stuck in some sort of time warp? I suppose we'll never know. Have a good day.

I strongly doubt that they exist. All serious investigations into any ghosts have turned up reasonable explanations for them.

Ghosts are a superstition from the distant past. They do not exist. No one has any proof of their existence.

"Ghosts", or my preference, "Spirits", are very real. Their reasons for being such varies, and there is good/bad in all things here, though, eventually all will return Home nonetheless.

but even as a christian, i do believe in spirits.
