Absence of the body is to be present with the Lord. I think it's almost instantly when you die you go before the Lord.

As you can see from some of the answers, fear of death is so great that many people will accept 2nd-life, "paradise," and "heaven" myths without any reservations. What's even more amazing is that these are the same folks who laugh at the "absurdity" of beliefs other than their own. Talk about not getting it!
It seems the possibility of oblivion is scary enough to make grown men believe in fairies, wizards and the like - anything to avoid the obvious. When we die all the faculties that made it possible to feel anything cease altogether. Truly, end of story.

Some ppl tell that you again born as somebody else somebody thinks once finished then finished forever. So i dont hav a answer bout this. But whatever i wrote in the first sentence that is sure to happen. I give you my gurantee.

When Death takes place many things happen in this world itself. People speak good and bad about the dead.Body is cremated.Family fights for the property and wealth. of the deceased. But in the spiritual world it is believed that though the body is dead the soul is not dead.Soul keeps to find a place for itself and this takes place in the form of Rebirth. It is believed that Rebirth is based on what you have done in the previous life. The cycle continues on & on and is never ending.

You die and nothing real exists afterward. There is no "life after death", just as their is no existence before life. Your "self" is a manifestation of your living body.
You do, however, live on in the memories of others and in the record of your deeds and accomplishments.

Because humans are made up of exterior form and have an internal self, it's my opinion that once our physical forms dies, our invisible internal self lives on in the spiritual realm--where ever and what ever plane that may be. I haven't been there yet but I'll let you know, like way later :P

I think you come into contact with a spirit guide who assists you in reviewing your most recent lifetime, what you learned and what you failed to learn, and help you to choose your next set of parents, so you can learn the things you missed.
Keep trying until you get it right!
