正版 is legal copy

盗版 is pirate or pirated copy

Let me break it down:
æ£= to correct; correct
ç= edition, hard copy
ç= a pirate, to steal

so æ£ç = (first, original, yet therefore) legal copy
so çç = a stolen, pirated or bootlegged copy.
