You do not say if it is a 4 or 6 cylinder, but when the timimg belt breaks, you can bend the valves! $500 is about $300 more than I would pay for it!
As the song says, "Take the money and run"

132k, broken windshield, busted timing belt, take the 500 and run. you'd be lucky to get 100 for it from somebody else, its only a parts car now

You should check out kbb.com. Depending on the exact condition, and which model your car is, you might be advised to fix some of those things and then sell it.
Here is a link to check out:
http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/1999_Mitsubishi_Galant_Private%20Party.aspx
I ran a quick check, not knowing the specifics on your car, and came up with a possible value of nearly $3000.

id say atleast 1500 for it, mitsubishi's are tough little cars...
everything that is wrong with it is pretty easy to fix, not like a blown head gasket or something...

Sell as soon as you can. I wouldn't give you $50 for it.
