The position of 'Isa (Jesus) before Allah
It is not meet for a man that Allah should give him the Book and the Judgment and Prophethood, then he should say to men: "Be my servants rather than Allah's;" but rather (he would say): "Be worshippers of the Lord because of your teaching the Book and your reading (it yourselves)". Or that he should enjoin you that you should take the angels and the prophets for lords; what! would he enjoin you with unbelief after you are Muslims (Submitting Ones)? (Qur'an, 3:79-80)
'Isa (Jesus) was a servant of Allah and a prophet (vide 19:30); a messenger to the Children of Israel (vide 3:49); was one of the five most high prophets, bringing a new law and a Book, i.e., Gospel (vide 5:46; 33:7; 42:13); Allah named him the Messiah, 'Isa (Jesus) (vide 3:45); he was the Word of Allah, and a Spirit from Him (vide 4:171); an Imam (vide 33:7); one of the witnesses of deeds (vide 4:159; 5:117); he brought the good news of the Messenger of Allah (vide 61:6); was worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter, and one of those who are made near to Allah (vide 3:45); was one of the chosen progenies (vide 3:33); one of the selected and righteous ones (vide 6:85-87); was made blessed wherever he might be, and purified; was a sign to the people, a mercy from Allah, and dutiful to his mother; greeted himself with peace (vide 19:19-33); and was among those whom Allah taught the Book and the Wisdom (vide 3:48).
These twenty-two characteristics from the stations of friendship and guardianship of Allah, give the gist of the attributes, which Allah has used to praise this honored prophet and to raise his rank. These may be divided into two categories:
(1) The acquired ones, like servitude, righteousness and nearness to Allah;
(2) Those bestowed by Allah as His special grace.

I love Jesus Christ (PBUH) very very much. He is a great prophet, a wise and wonderful man. I love learning about his life and the miracles he performed with God's help.
If I am still alive when he returns, I would love very much to meet him, it would be such an honour.
May Allah's peace and blessings be upon beloved Prophet Isa always. Ameen.

The reason why there is an Old Testament and a New Testament is that the Old was just a temporary fix until the Messiah, foretold by the prophets, would come to pay the penalty for the sins of the world and bring about an era of God's grace. This New Covenant was foretold by many prophets. The following link gives the personal testimonies of people who have converted to Christianity from Islam, and their reasons why.

So if Muslims believe in Jesus and they love Him and Christians believe in Jesus and they love Him, why can't that be a uniting factor for both religion?
btw, what is PBUH?

If you loved Jesus so much you wouldn't doubt His Word and be a Muslim. Muhammad is not a prophet and Jesus was way more than a prophet...He is The Living Word of God, The Christ, The Son of God and you disrespect Him every time you deny these things and say He's just a prophet. Jesus fulfilled prophecy and came to save all and you reject that. That's not love.
God Bless.

Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet. The Koran calls him the Word of God and the Messiah. It does tell of his virgin birth and a couple of miracles.
However, the Gospel quotes Jesus as saying he came to teach. The Koran has NOTHING on Jesus' teachings.
Muslims claim that Jesus taught the Koran, but that can't be right. The Koran is a compilation of sayings that were relevant to what was going on in Muhammad's life. For example, when Muhammad wondered if Aisha had cheated on him, a "revelation" said she didn't. When he found himself infatuated with his adopted son's wife, a "revelation" conveniently granted her to him, and outlawed adoption for all time. The Koran, in Surah 9 verse 5, tells Muhammad's followers to "capture and kill" the idolaters, "wherever you find them."
This clearly has nothing to do with Jesus' teaching.

What does (PBUH) mean? If Jesus was born of a virgin, He would only be cognitating on 23 chromosomes. Tell me another one.
