It depends on WHERE you are in Australia.
West coast +7 hours ahead of Germany
Middle part (Northern Territory, South _Australia) + 8 1/2 hours
East coast (except Queensland) + 8 hours
Add one hour during daylight saving time in Australia

It is a little more complicated than you might think.
Germany is UTC + 1. If it has daylight saving, it becomes UTC + 2.
Australia has three time zones: WA UTC + 8; SA & NT UTC + 9.5; and Qld, NSW, ACT, Vic &Tas UTC + 10.
The Northern Territory and Queensland do not have daylight saving, the rest of the country does. (WA is experimenting with it for three years)
Thus in the German summer when Germany is on daylight saving, the time difference is WA 6 hours, SA NT 7.5 hours, eastern Australia 8 hours.
When Australia has daylight saving in the Australian summer, the difference is WA 8 hours; NT 8.5 hours; Qld 9 hours; SA 9.5 hours; NSW ACT Vic Tas 10 hours.
In the short periods between one country coming off and the other going onto daylight saving the difference is WA 7 hours; SA NT 8.5 hours; eastern Australia 9 hours.

Germany time now is : 2043hrs (23rd June)
Western Australia : 0243hrs (24th June)
Northern Territory and Southern Australia : 0343hrs (24th June)
Queensland and New South Wales : 0443hrs (24th June)
Time difference between Germany and
W. Australia = 6hrs
NT & S.Australia = 7hrs
Queensland & NSW = 8hrs
