i want to join my friends, tom cruise and katie holmes, and practice scientology. how do i go about doing this? do i need to buy a book or something? also, how do i go about getting into kabalah...? (all the celebs, like madonna, ashton kutcher, demi moore) they all carry around this red book or something. So, how do I get started in Kaballah and Scientology? Also, I'm interested in Buddhism...so how do I get started in that?

Sweety, you need to slow down. Each one of these requires a lot of time and study. Scientology is probably in the white pages of your phone book. They are everywhere.
The kabalah (many different spellings) is an ancient Hebrew study, and the hardest one to explain, but the most valuable. I would say "go to a New Age type bookstore," but you will find as much BS about it as you will truth. My own study has been primarily with the Tarot, which has a high correspondence to the Kabalah, but the book I would recommend is apparently out of print, and I can't even find my copy of it. It's called "The Kabalistic Tarot," by Robert Wang.
Buddhism is also probably represented by local people, and in your phone book, although probably in the yellow pages under "religion." You can also find books about it in that New Age bookstore mentioned before, but also in just about any reasonably large bookstore. Ask at Borders, as I am certain they have plenty.
I hope this was not just a mocking question because of all those celebrities. Finding your own spiritual pathway can take years of really serious study, but it should not be undertaken as a tribute to your favorite celebrity.
A course in comparative religion might do you good, or one in philosophy of religion.

The least expensive way is to just tell people that you are. Kaballah is a ancient, mystical form of Judism. Buddhism is pretty indistinct. There are many different forms and practices of Buddhism. Scientology is, by far, the most expensive. You will need a lot of money to get anywhere with that group.
But, since you are not a serious person, it is best just to read a cursory amount about each, learn a few catch phrases and some of the terminology and impress your friends. That is what most famous people do anyway.
Except scientologists. They get pretty scary after a while.

Your name guru is the teacher of budhaist. You are a recreational human who remember the previous lifes how he was died and how he willing to come again with a mission of leading the other people to be a budha. Go into a budhaist, go into a temple to borrow some sutras to read. I am afraid you get into it and no time to come out again. As sutras containing policy, scient, psycholagy, physic, universe, creatures, spirituals, history, and how the world made of. Even one topic, you need 2-3 years time to get into and which is mostly interesting and news.

I'm a Scientologist, I recomend that you buy the book "Scientology: The fundaments of thought" by LRH. Is sold in paperback form in most bookstore. I shouldn't cost more than 8 dollars. If you are more adventurous take the dianetics seminar, it will blow your mind!
