I bought the Venus Vibrance shaver complete with a battery. But I know that shaving with gel and water is ideal for a smooth shave. But what do you use instead of water when it is battery-operated?

I use the Venus Vibrance shaver also. I LOVE it! My legs have never been smoother. The water does not affect the battery-operated shaver.I have used it for a long time and I've never had any problems. And there would be a warning on the box. :)

I bought one, used it in the shower. I found no benefit of the vibrating blades...no closer shave so I went back to my regular razor $10 poorer.

These razors work on a voltage of from 1.5 to 3 volts. You can't even get a decent flashlight to work on that. Even if there was a short, you wouldn't even feel it.
