Adams name means man so he really didn't get a name, he just got called what he was. Eve was named by Adam.
Adam (Hebrew: ×Ö¸×Ö¸×, Adam, "man"; Arabic: آدÙ
, Adam; Ge'ez: ) and Eve (Hebrew: ×Ö·×Ö¸Ö¼×, Ḥavva, "living one";
Here is the first time they are mentioned in the bible.
Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
