Basically can a computer be the culprit for having to get glasses? I recently found out that I have become far sighted. Is this a direct result from too much computer time starring at the screen and such?

I read that near sightedness and far sightedness are caused by genetics and the shape of the eye. My mom is near sighted, and I am too a little bit. I didn't notice it until I got into my teens, same as my mom, my sister is nearsighted too, but much worse, and she noticed it earlier.

I have glasses but rarely wear them.

your eyes get strained from the screen. This happens and every hour you should go look out a window and focus on a building in the distance.
