Oh, sorry Mel, I guess we could go to the theatre. Why are you asking me on Y/A anyway? Actually, there's a 70's disco night on near me that I'd love to go to, would you be up for that? We could have dinner in Wagamama's as well (the japanese place).

If you look at religions at their most basic levels, all religions pretty much have the same characteristics, they give people something to believe in, they give them hope that better things are to come, a way to deal with death and most provide guidelines to live by. For some people it gives them someone to blame when things are going their way, someone to be mad at, some people cannot handle the fact that they control of their lives so instead they look to whatever diety they believe in and believe that they control their destiny. It all depends on the person and how closely they follow their religion and the religion itself.

When you are religious with a tinge of spirituality, you can please your soul, which is dependent on you for an upgradation. You can go dance and make merry but that will be only for your perishable self (body). If you don't give any nourishment to your soul, you would have wasted this human life.
So give nourishment to your body and senses, to lead a happy and long(but always remember, that it is perishable) life. but at the same time give the soul it's due, because being eternal, it needs to be placed higher up the order every time we are born in this human body.

I have the feeling of Peace in my heart. I know that I do wrong things sometimes but I also know that only Jesus was perfect so I don't try to be. I I know that there is a God and that He is watching over me. How do I know this? One evening I was heartbroken over something and as I was driving I said 'Lord I really need to know that you are here with me.' A voice came over the radio and said "I am right here with you." I immediately felt a sence of peace and serenity. I couldn't ever get peace of mind and heart with less at that moment.

Someone said a house in heaven.. I don`t bellive in heaven :)) lol or Hell. (these are just terms)
But I don`t go to church.... only at Christmas and that is all... but if I would go I would say:
peace, I mean if I am sick or dying I accept my death, I always thought about: I want to finish my work! then I can dye lol :))
anyway if terms being religious gives you comfort and peace of mind and soul.

let's see, blessing from god, u take extra care of ur health, u live a better life than having 2 be forced 2 marry a woman just cuz u accidently got her pregnant, u cant get into heaven if u aint religious, at least that's how it is in Islam, i dont get other religions, christians say drinking is bad but why do they drink wine in church and say it's jesus' blood? it's just regular wine.

You live with the certainty that behind everything you do you have the support of the creator. You know that everything will turn out just fine and therefore NEVER have to worry about things =D Also, God gives you what you pray for ;-P
