Love means different things to different people, and even among the same person, love can have more than one meaning. I've been in many situations where this has come up, and in every group, there were many different answers of what it means to love someone and therefore what love is. Is love a feeling? Is love a choice? Is love something you do? Is it all of that? Any discussion on what love is will lead to more questions, I feel.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.
