I am 16 years old and am currently going to a high school in japan. I think I have this major crush for my english teacher. He's 29 right now.... I have liked him for about a year now. I heard that he has a gf and I don't think he likes me as a girl. I don't know if he likes me even as a student. I used to live in the US, so I can kinda speak english better than him.... I don't have his class right now so the only way I can talk to him is if I actually go up to him. I sometimes feel like he's avoiding me.

So what I want to ask is what should I do to have him like me? I decided to tell him how I feel when I graduate high school which is next year(I'm in the 11th grade) If you have any advice or have experienced a similar crush, it would be great!!!! Thanks for reading this.

He's avoiding you so he won't lose his job. Wait when you are legal and out of school and then try to hook up then. That's what I did. By the time school was out I was already crazy for someone else.

i have personally never had a crush on a teacher before. i think it is wrong. especially with the age difference, and the fact that he has a girlfriend. what you are describing about the avoidance, means that he obviously doesn't like you. so honey, go ahead and find someone your own age to have a relationship with, cuz this guy will only be in your dreams!

I am a teacher and I have had this happen to me before.
Of course, it's flattering to have students attracted to you but...
Having students attracted to you creates many problems.
Ethically, we do have to report when this happens.
Also, even if we wanted to do anything about it we couldn't.
I don't know about there but I know there're laws here bout this.
You've got to be at least 18 or anybody could report you.
There are court cases going on right now about this.
One friend told administrators that her friend was doing this.
The guy's on television, in court & he'll never teach there again.
Of course, I know teachers who have married their PREVIOUS students but they waited until after graduation to do anything.

The point is that you can't do anything now without causing problems but if you wait then the guy is free to enjoy your being attracted to him and either act or just be flattered.

just admire him from a distance, and if youre still interested when youre no longer a student look him up and see what hes doing.

chances are if hes avioding you, hes not interested or most likely never thought of you as anything else but just one of his students, thats not a bad thing, hes not allowed.

goodluck!
