My office is in town and I live in a housing area 50mins away by bus + metro + walk. Hardly any seats on the metro so I have to stand for 30 mins & then walk for 10.
I wish I can get a job closer to home!

I used to commute half an hour by car every morning. Then I moved somewhere completely else and made sure I found a place close to work. Now I have five minutes to walk, two minutes on the tube, five minuts to walk. Or, if it's sunny and I have some time, 20 minutes to walk.
Also, I sold my car when I moved as public transport is excellent in my new home town and I'm often still surprised how much money I have left at the end of the month. No petrol, no insurance, no tax.

I live in west Ft. Lauderdale, FL and work in Boca Raton. When schools are in session, it's about a 45 minute commute, otherwise it's 30 to 35 minutes. This includes a 7 mile local road trek to I 95 and then 18 miles north on I 95 to Boca. No, it's not worth it, I am presently looking for other employment.

No time. I'm retired. While working, I traveled approx. 30 miles to work. I live in a rural setting, & have been well satisfied with the quality of life here. Much better than urban setting.

I have to drive through a city, highway to get to work. It normally takes a half hour, but sometimes there's an accident and traffic stops. It's not fun, and probably not worth it.
