There is no record of people 'out there' in the Bible when Adam and Eve were cast out.
Could you be referring to Cain, when he killed his brother? He said "who ever sees me, will kill me if they know what I have done". Meaning that there were other people on the Earth.
The Bible only mentions the birth of Cain and Abel. That doesn't mean that others weren't born, or how long it was between children.
We are talking of a time when the Earth was different, and there was greater longevity among humans.
Adam and Eve did have other children. Cain and Abel were the only ones prevalent in the Bible.
The time span from the time that Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden, and the time that Cain killed Abel could have been hundreds of years, allowing for at least a few generations to be born and grow up.
This leads to the obvious conclusion that some one slept with their sister, which is true.
Before we go into a rant about how sick and perverted this is, remember, we are talking about the beginning of the human race, and while the evolution crowd is scoffing at this, remember too that the early humans could not have come about any other way.
Wait, I forgot, differant species of monkeys mated, and that became the differant races. That gets you around incest.

I belong to a Pagan Church in Washington State, USA. The church puts out these fake "Tracts," or anti-tracts, that are pretty funny. One of them tackles this very subject quite eloquently, and even though the website only has an extremely shortened version of it, it gets the basic point across.
