If they get amnesty they will be elgible for affirmative action.I personally don't believe in affirmative action.If we are going to have it I think it should be for blacks & blacks alone.When were Mexicans & Central Americans held as slaves & lynched by white people?I'm sorry Jose & Juan if you want a job you will have to get it on your own merits.

I would say ILLEGALS should not get amnesty. I agree that they should earn it, however I DISAGREE with ONLY BLACKS! Service is not only from black but so as to others who have risk their lives to support USA, only to mention Vietnam, Laos, Philippines, etc.
We have a lot of Filipino soldiers who have served the American navy, military, air force long before the gulf war and this recent oil war. Yet, they never did get any privilege of being citizens just the permanent visa permit, which is acceptable. My point is if those who served USA long before this issue did not have that special treatment why would the illegal be. Would that mean it is better to break the law and spit on American government to get special treatment? To get Amnesty?

What about the community American's, the white human beings took their land? i imagine they must be on your record too. i imagine affirmative action must be executed away at the same time as no criminal citizen of this usa ought to get preferance on race, coloration, sex, disablitiy, former employment (defense force). Get a pastime on your own advantages..

Affirmative action has outlived it's use- fullness and is now just a racist policy kept in place to keep those who feel discrimination means having to work for what you have rather than having it handed to you.
The affirmative action policy could not be more racist in it's motivation. The color of your skin certainly has no bearing on your ability to do a job or your ability to open a book.

I agree, affirmative action should be for blacks and blacks alone. They are the ones that suffered through slavery and was treated horribly by white people.
I don't think it's considered amnesty what Bush is trying to do.. No one is becoming a citizen, they will have to work their butts off and pay a hefty fine before that happens.

The operative word here is "illegal". As a tax paying, native born American, I do not believe that any "Illegal" should be eligible for anything whatsoever, regardless of where they came from.
