I take it you want to take your laptop on a plane?
If so then the x-ray machines will cause no damage whatsoever. People take laptops on planes all the time. They will ask you to take it out of your bag and put it through the x-ray separately though.

It is totally safe to take your laptop travelling
My husband is a seaman and thus always travelling by plane to join his ship and takes his laptop all over the world.
There is no TV at sea so he uses it to play music and DVDs etc and he has never lost data from travelling

ABSOLIUTELY YES THERER IS NO WAY ON THIS EARTH THAT A XRAY MACHINE COULD DAMAGE YOUR HARDDRIVE UNLESS IT WAS EXPOSED TO THE XRAY MACHINE ITSELF MEANING TO DISLODGE YOUR HARDRIVE TO THE MACHINE

You are safe taking your laptop on holiday with you, I do it all the time and have never lost any data through it being scanned
