Hi you have to tell her, it is far better that a friend lets her know in a subtle way rather then a stranger

I believe there may be a health issue that needs to be attended to.

but in the meantime, she may find the need to take a shower 2-3 times daily to compensate for the odor for now; and that is from a friend to assist her in a kind way...

allowing her to continue the way she is doing BOTH OF YOU A DISSERVICE to your friendship, in my opinion.

You have to say something if it's making you ill. I had a problem with my RA in college with the same thing.

Be gentle, be tactful, but be honest. It's not worth your health. If her other friends are too shy or whatever to say something, then that's their decision.

Can always just carry a bottle of Approach with you and spray it over you to give yourself fresh air :)

Good luck

If you know one of her other friends maybe you could take them to the side and mention it to them.

This new friend of yours needs to be evaluated by a dr because certain kinds of hormone disorders can have body odor be a symptom of the hormone disorder/imbalance.
