Heat your griddle till hot. Oil your steak lightly - but NOT the griddle. Put steak on hot griddle. Turn when it moves easily. Cook second side. When this, too, moves easily your steak is done. Serve with chips, sauted mushrooms, salad and a glass of good red wine - enjoy!

Start off with the steak on a board and punch the hell out of it with your fists; do this on both sides, don't worry if it looks thin and scraggy!
Spray it with a fine mist of Olive oil and grind Black pepper over both sides. Add a sprinkle of finely chopped Garlic and leave in a very cool place for at least an hour.
Use a very hot griddle to seal the meat on both sides then turn down the heat slightly and turn twice more; if you try you can get a lovely criss cross pattern on the meat. Don't overcook the meat an 2 1/2 cm. thick steak cooked like this will take a total of 6 minutes max. If you want it cooked more let it rest in a warm 80C oven for a few minutes more. Test for doneness by prodding the meat with you finger soft is rare and hard is well done.

on very hot griddle. turn only once, you can watch how far up the steak is cooking and cook the other side the same amount. the more you do it the more you will get to know what you like and how long to cook it for. use butter. then use the juices to make a sauce or just add garlic and pour over the rested steak. always rest the steak for 5 minutes. yummy.

Take a rib eye steak Leave fat on this is flavoring. Dust steak with garlic powder then pepper on both sides. Then add A1 sauce and marinade for 4-8 hrs in fridge. Bring steaks to room temp before grilling(this helps steak to be tender and cooked evenly) This is an awesome way to grill steaks. The flavor is awesome. Before cutting into steak let steak sit for about 5 minutes to let juices go through out steak. IF your worried about steak getting cold put in microwave(DO NOT COOK STEAK in microwave this is just to keep steak warm while juice go throughout steak).

High heat and as quickly as possible. Turn when the outside is looking cooked about half way up the steak. It should be 'squishy' if you jab it with your finger. (OK, hygiene freaks! with the handle of a wooden spoon). Take off the heat and don't serve it immediately. Give it a couple of minutes to 'rest'.
Seasonings are personal. Before cooking sprinkle both sides with black pepper, but salt after cooking. It's also recommended that, if you need to oil, then put the oil on the meat and not on the pan.

Griddle pan or bbq.
Coarse grind some fresh black pepper onto the steak (both sides) and then turn on the heat under the griddle pan.
NO oil or anything required-just heat. Get it really hot and then put your steak in there.
Give it about 3 minutes each side for rare (for a 1.5-2" thick steak) and about 5 each side for medium.
Take it out, cover in tin foil (shiny side inwards) and let it stand for a few minutes (I usually throw the salad/baked spud on a plate at this point) and then serve & eat.
Yummy.
Try getting a rib-eye steak if you can-REALLY good. Failing that hip/pin-bone is very tasty (and HUGE usually).

if your grilling it which is healthiest you should have the grill on its hottest setting and the steak on the lowest level it can be so its the furthest away from the heat...it'll take longer to cook i know but the flavour stays in the meat as its cooked slowly and ot doesnt go tough. failing that the george foreman or griddle are also excellent ways fat free and really tasty

Easiest way = George Foreman grill
Best way = Charcoal grill. Toss some Hickory chips in with the charcoal.

The grill is best either gas or charcoal. For 1 inch thick, high heat, 4 minutes per side for medium rare. Any marinade sauce you like will do...create your own or leave it alone.
