I moved in with my Dad when I was 9 and my stepmum put me on a diet. I've been on and off diets ever since. I'm 19 now. I've started to record my food, and I feel great when I look back at my day's food and there's hardly any items on there. This has made me eat less and less. Could this get worse?

PS: I'm doing this current diet with my friend and I feel that I look a lot bigger than her so that's another reason that's making me so motivated

I eat less that 1200 calories a day and today I want to aim for under 1000

What you are doing is very dangerous and can lead to what they call anorexia. I used to diet like crazy and ended up being very sick. You need at least 1500 calories a day to be healthy. Try following the canada food guide it has helped me so much -to being the healthy person I am now. I used to weigh 180 pounds 3 years ago then went to 89 pounds 6 months later and had no muscles at all ! It took me until now to get healthy again now I weigh 120 and i am 5"8 !!! If you need help finding a healthy diet feel free to email me. Good luck !

you only live once - dont waste your life being obsessed by your appearance!!! you live and then you die - imagine looking back on you life and all you ever did or thought about was yourself and how you looked? Im not trying to be mean - just get on with your life - there is so much out there to experience and do other than diet and starve - make the most of the time you are given :)

Whao.. I think for a girl of 5'2 you should get at least!! 1800 calories a day. Just throw in a bit of excercise too.
After a while it gets addictive. And you feel a sort of accomplishment. This way you will be healthy and toned and seeing the results makes it all worth while..
Oh and you will feel great!!

well you're pretty be in a diet. if you're over weight, follow the pyramid and do lots of exercise! consider getting involved in a sport with your friend. don't go anorexic or bulimic because you REALLY harm your body and those ladies turn out looking uglier than they begun. also, think positive. i think I'm fat too and i eat to much candy every day. what i do is go into my closet and try on shoes! (even the ugly ones). food makes people fat, clothes make people look fat but, shoes make you look precious.

over eating is dangerous to health and like wise uder eating is much more dangerous
so dont curb your calories intake more nd more

check ur BMI and see what should be the daily calory intake of ur body and try to maintain that value and never try to be too slim...
That can be dangerous.

Its better to consult a dietatian

people think that starvation is the solution and IT IS NOT !!!!!!
you will create other health issues; trust me...

you can eat anything as long as if it is in moderation; 1800 calorie diet is the basic plan.... go see a nutritionist about what you may need to curb your appetite.

it has been researched that people who have gone NATURAL seem to be the healthiest....

DIET is a fad thing and they NEVER work.

Heading towards Anorexia and simply dieting are very different things. You have to be very naive not to see this and you really should talk to a doctor about this. See a health proffessional and have him/her guide you in the direction of a good diet :)

decreasing you calorie input is not enough to decrease you weight. because it will decrease you matabolism also and thereby leading to a lesser and slower effect.
start working out. i have reduced 6kilograms in last 6 months!! with no dieting at all.
the concept is use more calories then you intake.

This is dangerous. A grown woman which you are needs to eat ATLEAST 1200 cal a day. Your stepmom had no right to do what she did. I bet you 100 bucks you look more than perfect.
