Yes athiests are far better than those who criticise other religions because they are not having a love for god & even hate those who love god. They don't even mingle with such persons and as such won't cause any harm to them. But those who criticise other religions, they are committing sin towards others thereby degrading their own self-respect!!!

Yes, definitely it is a sin to criticise others especially other religions. All religions teach the same basic truths. Hence atheists are some what better than those who criticise others' religions.

No, atheists are the sorriest people on the earth, because they are not experiencing the divinity, so they think it does not exist! People who criticise others' religions are one-pointed on their path and know it is right for them, they only lack the broader education that all religions point to the same GOD. Jennifer

Well both are equally miserable. Both are ignorant too .Both are hypocritical too- atheists refuse to consider God thier creator and thats not just it they refute the fact that someone is responsible for thier creation even though they dont deny that that thier is a man who is thier father.Still they deny the existence of the universal father. Sad that they decieve themselves. But I think that people who dont respect the faith and religion of others are the most hypocritical in the world and so worse off than the atheists too. They say that they believe in God yet they are lying because at the same time they say that that only that form of God is true which they worship and all other forms of the same God are not real. They praise one form of God and disrespect the other. They say that scriptures are Gods words at the same time they say that one scripture is God's word while another isnt. They say that only the path or philosophy that they choose to follow is true out of the many paths and philosophies laid by God.
So in this respect atheists are better-atleast they are less hypocritical than the fanatics.
I HATE FANATICISM MORE THAN I HATE ATHEISM THOUGH BOTH ARE BLIND, FULL OF SELF DECIET AND EGOTISM

I have met some Atheists who are just as bad about criticizing others religions as I have those who are from other religions. HOWEVER, that said I have also met Atheists that are very tolerant of other people's religious beliefs and often take an active interest and trying to learn about that. So long as the person doesn't try to force their beliefs upon the Atheist or try to demean and belittle the Atheists own beliefs, these types of Atheists tend to be good people to have religious conversations with. Partly because they ask you about a lot of the basics of your own religion (something we don't get to talk very much about amongst those who are in the same practicing religion....or with those that criticize our religion) and partly because at the same time you can take an interest in learning about what the Atheist does believe (some Atheists admit that there might possiby be something...some force, etc, that keeps the universe running that perhaps science has yet to discover).
I have met many Atheists and Agnostics who are very spiritual (see divinity in all aspects of their life....even if they don't call it God, the Divine, etc). However, there are some Atheists that criticize people's religions just like those folks of other religions who criticize other people's religion. Even worse is when either the other religious people or Atheists and Agnostics demean and belittle other people religious beliefs and religious practices......and often spread misinformation because they failed to accurately learn more about the religion or who only base their demeaning and belittle rhetoric upon one bad experience with people of whatever religion they are attacking. To me those folks are the worst. I can stand to have my religion legitimately criticized....that can help raise one's awareness to troubles that are within the religion and perhaps even point out where we have strayed from the philosophy and theology of the religion we claim to follow. But to just demean and belittle people's religions is not constructive at all. It doesn't help to awaken anyone, it doesn't bring forth any necessary changes. Instead it puts people into the defense mode and they shut off whatever possible legitimate criticize that might be said. They stop listening and instead have put up a barrier...a wall..that prevents further dialogue. To me the people, whether they are Atheists or some other religion, that belittle and demean other peoples religions are the ones that cause a lot more harm....whether intentional or unintentional...and work to break....to counter the efforts of people like myself who work to open up dialogue between people of different religions....not to change anyones minds or convert anyone, but to help people realize that we're all striving towards the betterment of humanity and providing tools and ideas for the art of living.

Yes provided they follow in their personal life & professional life with healthy principles, ethical practices, humanity, apply healthy philosophy of their own(one may call it as their religion). An atheist without any healthy philosophy & following un-accepted life principles can be dangerous .On the contrary an atheist with humanity,Truthfulness, healthy living philosophy, kindness to men, women & animals, peace loving (patience towards weak & poor people) is far better than hipocratic (posing) theist. Healthy critics of religion should be considerd for they correct wrong beliefs & practices.Essence of any religion is truthfulness,non-violence, kindness & tolerence to weak & poor people, taking good from any good philosophy/religion,seeking good knowledge, promoting peace, forgiveness as well as sharing with have-nots by charitable deeds. There are good & bad atheists too.Change is life principle a atheist may turn into theist & vice-versa.All depends on strong belief & will power.will power may based on belief in Almighty or a accepted & tested healthy philosophy of life in which one believe.Of course these are personal matter of dogma of individuals to be theist or an atheist

your questions makes no sense. you are trying to say that atheists are better than people who criticize other religions, like a Christian that believes his religion is better than Buddhism, or a Muslim that criticizes Jewish people. But atheists are just as bad if not worse. They criticize ALL RELIGIONS. Why is an atheist that doesnt believe any religion should exist any different than a Muslim that says Christianity shouldnt exist?
