What is to be done about the massive slaughter of dogs and cats ?

2007 over an estimate of 2 million dogs and cats are slautered as we speak in South East Asia - Hundreds of Thousands of items of Clothing - Toys - Fur Rugs - such items are DNA Tested to differentiate the Fur used - maybe that one over there is a German Shepard or that one over here is a Golden Retriever or that one could that be a Labrador Puppy - 4 - Golden Retreivers were Skinned for their Fur to make One Large Rug - Well people have a Dreadful Day.

Charity begins at home. In USA we killed over 5 million dogs last year, for no reason other than they were born and owned by irresponsible people. STOP the inhumane killing of adoptable pets. STOP puppy mills, and volunteer your time and money and other resources to improve your local shelters. Write your congressman and protest senseless slaughter of adoptable pets and the sanction of puppy mills..

adopt a pet, or foster if you can..WE have to stop our own madness.

I`m not sure about Asia but we can get animals fixed here to prevent unwanted off spring. I have a couple well trained and mannered dogs (great companions) but I don`t have room or time for more. Over population of animals needs to be addressed. Even if the options seem harsh it may be best for all in the long run. The situation in Asia may be deserate. And if humans require them to survive then like Nugent says,"you have to kill it to grill it".

You might consider that in southeast asia they have some
pretty good recipes for dog and cat, we on the otherhand
eat cute lambs,pigs,cows,chickens,ducks,horses,turkeys,
deer,moose,elk,sheep,fish, and even partridge in a pear tree.
