FIRST of all, the word 'rapture' isn't found anywhere in the bible.

What's in the bible is this:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. "

The Christians which are alive and left shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

About your other question, what's written in the bible is that there's LIFE EVERLASTING or life eternal.

1 John 2:25

" And this is the promise which he promised us, even the life eternal. "

This is what the Apostle Paul referred to as 'life indeed'.

1 Timothy 6:19

"laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is life indeed."

You might ask for some hows, let's read John 5:28-29

"Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,

and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. "

The dead shall be resurrected to face the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10

" For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

Those who did good shall inherit everlasting life and those who did evil shall unto shame and everlasting contempt.

Daniel 12:2

"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. "

I hope that answers your question.

I think life after death is going back to where we came from.
Rapture is only a word
not found in the bible but has significance
in associating to scripture.
As far as rapture what about using salvation
as a good news concept?
Rapture is taught that christians will miss the tribulation period.
You cant say its not true because scripture
says "no man knoweth the hour." before or
after the tribulation, well no man knows.
If christians are asked to wear a mark, then
they'll know.
And if someone claims hes Jesus and we are still flesh and blood then they'll know that flesh and blood wont make it to heaven,
as scripture says.
Personally wether we live through the tribulation or not we'll know hes the real thing or not, when god does come back, as
it says Mark 13.

Know? Sorry, but you can't know unless you've had direct experience with death. A Near Death Experience (NDE) is the closest one can come to knowing, and those that have had them definately say that something exists beyond death, and that it's independent of, but may be biased by, what you believed while on Earth.

If there's a "rapture" it will come at the end of the reign of the Anti-Christ. I know this upsets the mid- and pre-Trib folks who want to escape pain and death, but there's no promise of these scenarios in your scriptures. Martyrs die; Jesus said "Take up your cross (your death by execution) and follow me." and he meant it literally. Christians are, right now, dying for their faith is many countries around the world as I type this -- what makes you think that fat, rich, and spoiled 'Mercan xtians will escape somehow!

"Poverty" is measured by Jesus' standards of 2000 years ago, not by the modern requirements to get 'Mercan welfare. Every 'Mercan is rich just by living in the US - whether or not you have two quarters to rub together or not! Time for 'Mercans to learn how to walk through the eye of a needle...

I don't believe there will be a rapture.

Reincarnation seems the most logical to me-- cyclical, like all of nature. Plus there is more compelling arguments based on numerous studies of kids thought to be reincarnated, who knew things they couldn't have known about other people or places very far away, or about how they died previously.

Death is the end of existence. The "rapture" is ancient mythology.

I believe in both "the dead will rise first and then those that are alive in Christ will rise up with them to meet the lord in the clouds". Invite Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior and someday you too can experience the rapture

THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH ONLY AT JESUS' SECOND COMING AND ONLY IF YOU HAVE A TRUE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. THE BIBLE STATES THAT THERE IS NO SECRET RAPTURE. ALL EYES WILL SEE HIM, AT THE SECOND COMING.

Sure there is life after death.
Or do you think you die and that is it????
It doesn't make any sense to me.
Life after death is not a materialistic life...it's your soul and spirit!
