I am not sure if I want leather set for my living room or
fabric. If anybody has an experience in this please help
me. Which one is more durable. I love leather but don't
know how strong it is and if I can afford it. Thanks!

Leather is the more durable and long lasting. Some people believe it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter but it is not. It's a hide and it breathes. I have never "stuck" to my leather car seats even when the car interior is hot from sitting in the sun. Leather isn't that much more expensive than choosing a higher quality fabric and if you are purchasing a fabric set, you would definitely want the higher quality fabric.

Genuine (and top grain) leather is extremely durable. My favorite chair (recliner) is Barcalounger. My favorite couch (also for comfort) is Laurant, though I'm not sure of spelling. Sometimes thse will come with real leather EXCEPT where the fabric won't ware so much-watch out for that. Leather for comfort; leather for durability.

I myself don't care for leather for the fact that in the summer you stick to it, and in the winter its cold. Kind of like hardwood floor or carpet, I am a very hommie warm kind of person so I choose carpet and fabric, Now on the other hand! if you have children, leather would be easier to clean I would think. I say go for comfort, not looks. Because 9 times out of 10 whatever you like, the other person will like to. Think Compatible.

Leather is more durable, but it's difficult to clean and feels disgusting to sit on in the summer. I'd go for fabric.

Leather is durable, but it is cold in the winter and summer if you have the a/c on. We have a nice leather sofa in the basment. My hubby picked it out and I HATE IT! But it is pretty.
