This depends on the race, the condition of the driver, the weather, and luck.
If the race is say 250 laps the driver remains in the car for the full race. Now if the driver is under the weather a cold-flu-or injured he may run 1 lap to get the drivers points, then turn the ride over to a relief driver.Sometimes a driver may get over heated in his car,if the weather is extremely hot.If this happens he may ask for relief.
Then the car.If the car is involved in an accident then the driver would be out,but even if he is out he could be asked to be a relief driver.
Bottom line the driver is in the car green flag to checker flag unless something odd happens.

I am not sure what your asking. If you are wondering what happens if a driver gets sick or is injured. The driver only has to start the race, and the first opportunity to get out of the care they can do so. If that means lap 2 thats fine, as long as they start the race they will receive the points.
If you are talking about races in general, that can be a little as 2-3 hours to as many as 5-6 hours depending on the length of the race, and how many cautions that might occur.

Well, either til the end of the race, which could be 2-5 hours depending on how short or long the race is, and if they are involved in an accident that takes them out of the race, or their car get extensive repairs in the garage, they will then get out of the car and be done with the race, or go back out after their car is repaired enough to go back out on the track.

From the time they strap in until just after the checkered flag. Unless they get sick or are injured. A few years back Tony Stewart started the race and then climbed after a few laps and had a replacement but still got all his points. Short races are three hours, long ones can be 6+ hours...it all depends.

Until the race is over, bud, until the race is over. Of course, if the red flag drops, or they have to go behind the wall, they can get out, but as long as laps are being counted, drivers are in their cars. For as long as five hours, sometimes.

Do you positioned on a diaper once you take a seat there and type questions? What happens in case you ought to take a leak? No, they do no longer. they do no longer drink or devour lots earlier the races so that they do no longer ought to bypass, and in the event that they do, they carry it. And from years of probably "protecting it", their bodies certainly develop into used to it and that is not any longer a concern. And NASCAR races are basically 4 hours on the main, no longer 5.

I'm pretty sure that they all try to stay in their cars until the race is over. Sometimes they have to get out earlier than that because they crash out or have some equipment failure.
