Dear broken-- you might want to ask the people at Lowes or Home Depot. They are usually pretty knowledgeable or if you wander down the isles you might see the part that you are looking for.

Sorry a real guy knows to ask when he doesn't know.

Hope you are staying warm.

Kindly,

Nickster

They sound like seals to keep the pipes secure. If they aren't causing a problem I would advise you to leave them well alone. The fact that they're dusty or bent won't impair their use and they're not there for cosmetic purposes. If they are causing some kind of problem, get a qualified plumber to look at them. Obviously that will be more expensive but if there's a problem you've no option. Don't make any modifications to your heating system if you don't know what you're doing. It is potentially very dangerous and possibly illegal (certain jobs may only be done by registered specialists) and if you cause serious damage it could be much, much more expensive. Leave them alone.

I'm a real guy, but I don't own a home. Can't help you on that one.

If you had a question about electricty theory, evolution, French or Italian language or literature, feminist thought, social criticism, language, atheism, or hundreds of other topics, I could help.

Sorry; you might want to post your question to "home improvement" . This is the ' religion and spirituality" section.
You may possibly get some answers on Carpentry, but I doubt you'll get any on HVAC.
