Personally, I think it's because we can't. If we do, they will harm those who speak out and their families. So, we do what we can. And this is exaclty what we are supposed to do, and what I want to do. What do you think of this quote?

"On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khurdari, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say: "Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest of faith."
(Muslim)"

I believe, it depends on whether you live in a Muslim or a non-Muslim country.

See, usually in countries like Pakistan, the majority are obviously Muslims... and within this majority are those type of Muslims who don't practice Islam and don't have a strong sense of Islamic faith; basically they are quite indifferent to Islam and its status around the world. I can speak for many people I know who are currently living in Muslim countries, who care more about Paris Hilton, Angelina/Brad and/or David Beckham rather than Islam.

I do not think people in Muslim countries are going to face repercussions if they speak out against extremists. The problem is.... they just don't care.

Because real Muslims are under siege between two group of extremists i.e. those who support Osama or George W Bush. So if you speak out against any of them surely you'll be harmed.

Points to note:
- There are more bombings by Al-Qaeda & its affiliates in Muslim countries than non-Muslim countries.
- None of Al-Qaeda activities actually benefit Islam, but give more excuses by GWB to extend his power.
- More casualties on Muslim side by Al-Qaeda's activities.

Could Osama & GWB be under the same team for world domination?

Extremism, terrorism, fundamentalism and "reasonable" muslims are suggestions created with the help of the west propaganda to excuse the unjust wars in muslim countries and the theft of their aspects. yet there are muslims with a competent information of the religion and who're coaching islam.mutually as there are different muslims who're basically muslims with the help of call. And confident...we are working interior our very own communities to strengthen the understanding of modern-day muslims who've additionally been brainwashed with the help of the media.

I for one am not doing nothing...I sign petitions, I write letters, I answer questions and whatever else I can to get the message across. I can only hope it does some good in the end....in some cases I know it has.

For all those muslims that fight (jihad) for the right of God to speak to us in "his" own words and not words twisted to mean what man wants it to mean for their own agenda(no matter what the religion really)....Im with you 100%, using my two hands when I can, most definitely with my tongue at every opportunity, and my heart is never far behind either way.

Because the media is more interested in 'bad' Muslims doing bad acts than those genuine Muslims who are heavily involved in their community to combat this issue.
You can't tell what they're doing unless you're there since its not covered.

Theres no such thing as extremism. People defend themselves.

Because we Muslims are getting name called, we like to blame it on the people who are actually defending us.

Don't become insecure because of what the non believers tell you.

Laa illaa haa illa ALLAH SWT, Muhammad Rasoolilah Saaws.

Good question.

But what can they do? Most Muslim people are very poor (struggle on day to day basis) or very rich (don't care about what is going on) and they don't live in democratic countries (unless they live in the West and than they are busy justifying themselves and proving that they are not terrorists).

It is more of - one for himself sort of thing.
No unity, no proper uncorrupted leaders.

What have you done about Christian extremists, like abortion clinic bombers and George Bush? Don't limit your actions to those in your own religion, there are evil ones everywhere.

for me, i am trying to do what is in my ability. you know, Westerns who come to Arab countries really most of them change their minds about Islam and Muslims, Why? because they see that reality is opposite to that their fake media is spreading about Muslims.
then again and again, EXTREMISM is from the creation of WESTERNS and especially AMERICA. it's America that Bin Laden was agent to them but then turned on them. also, AL Quaeda is from their creation...... and they are displaying them all under the name of ISLAM in a trial to destroy it, but of course they fail.
