The first thing I will say is to ignore ANY diagnoses you get here about what "disorders" you have. The last question I just read mentioned OCD and GAD. But it takes a TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL to accurately diagnose ANY kind of mental condition! Be careful about falling into the trap of such mediocre and superficial conclusions such as the ones you might get from here.
Second, I will recommend that you go see a trained mental health proffessional of some sort. You can use a school counselor or psychologist if you have that option, or explore the community for referrals. If you have the former, go for that, as they can give you referrals to help you out. Don't be afraid to talk about the problem that you have, especially with those that you care about. They'll be of great comfort to you. Once you know why it is you have this fear, then it will be far easier to deal with properly. It doesn't have to run your life, so long as you can get control of it rather than letting it control you.
Finally, here are some ideas on how to relax... When you feel yourself getting anxious, you have two methods you can use to mentally subdue the problem. You can either push it out of your head by distracting it away, which is a good temporary way to help yourself keep from focusing on it. I know, easier said than done, right? Pick something positive to focus on, though. Think about how good it is to be alive, and appreciate it! There's so much pleasure to be gained out of life that it's contradictory to let your life be spent fearing death, right? So focus on something good in your life that will make you smile. Your other option is to focus upon it and try to rationalize it out. What are the actual chances that you're going to up and die? They're really narrow, in actuality. So long as you use a rational amount of caution, you'll be just fine. If you truly feel something is putting your life in danger, put a stop to it. Make sure though that you're not just jumping the gun, so to speak.
Above all, breathe deeply! Deep, calming breathing is very theraputic for stress.

I do not think it is unusual be be afraid of death. But when it does interrupt your quality of life, definitely trying to find a way to deal with this fear is important. Some people cope with this fear by talking about it with anyone, whether it is friends, group therapies, counselors, it does not matter. Sometimes knowing you are not alone in this fear and that it is not unusual to have a fear of death can help you learn to deal with it. Sometimes the fear of death is simply fearing the unknown. It is normal for people to have fears.
When someone is so scared, as you are describing, it can help to learn different meditations that may relax your mind. Given there is spirit/mind, it would be your mind and not your spirit that is generating this fear. (depending on your belief). I am not sure which meditations will help but maybe looking up any meditation that help relax or ease fears could help. Some people are afraid of death because of their spiritual (or lack of spiritual) beliefs. Depending on what you are comfortable with, it would probably be comforting to read about what people say about death. Even the near death experiences that people talk about can help someone else cope with a fear. Just know you are not alone & that it is possible to overcome this fear in time. I would suggest reading some of the near death experiences, meditating, talking about it, and continuing to learn about what people are saying on this topic may help to relax this fear.

All of the scenes that happens and to be happen in our life can be divided into 3 parts. Possible matters, impossible matters and variable matters. Two of them are fixed(unchangeable) matters and another is changeable.Sun will rise tomorrow is a possible matter. Sun will rise from west tomorrow is an impossible matter. Sun will rise at 7 o'clock tomorrow is a variable matter that it may happen or not.
You are puzzling with a fixed matter. That you cannot change it. Every livings in this world should die one-day. That's the nature. So do not confuse or anxious with this matter. Love and Live the life that you got whether it's long or short. Enjoy whatever you can. I wish you a bright future. Take care

What you have could be OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)or GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). Some people try to deal with it on their own, some people try cognitive therapy (where you learn to use your mind to treat yourself) and some people choose medicine. I had the same problem that you have. I ended up with agoraphobia (fear of leaving my house) and stayed inside for a year hoping to protect myself. The thing that helped me was a strong support system (my family and friends) and going to a psychiatrist. Seeing the doctor and having him to talk to was an immense help. He put me on Paxil CR for my panic attacks and for my anxiety. My life has turned around and I only have problems every once in awhile. I really think you should talk to your doctor and explore the possibilities so you can choose what is right for you. Don't go on living like this because more than likely, it will only get worse. There is so much to see and do when you can actually enjoy it. Like my doctor told me, how can you live when you are terrified of dying. There is help out there and it can get better. Please, seek it out. Don't punish yourself like this. Good luck!

Death is inevitable for all of us and, in most situations you will not be able to predict when you will die. Try to think about the life you want to live while alive and what you will have missed if you don't do the things now you really want to do because of your fear. You will have missed so many opportunities for which you will surely regret, basically you will have spent your life waiting to die rather then living.

I had a fixation on death as well too. It kind of occupied my mind to the point where it was encumbering my life. I was able to talk to my parents about it and they agreed to let me seek treatment for anxiety. I was put on Paxil immediately and I think it worked...although I am a firm believer that the placebo effect was at work too.

It's up to you whether you seek therapy, meds, or other forms of support to get you through this. The site I linked to also offers some vibrant and active communities of people working through their problems. You may want to check it out. Good luck with everything!

I think about death too, but instead of being afraid I have developed a curiosity about it and wonder what it's like to die and be dead. It happens to everybody sooner or later so try to make friends with it and think of all those who have gone before and what it must be like. Live a good life with as few regrets as possible and learn to think of death as a new phase of life. Make friends with the idea of death. It helps if you believe in God and trust him in life and death.

That is a hard one. I think you should see someone about it, you may be becoming agrophobic(fear of open places) which is confusing your thought process. Just read statistics about what you do on a daily basis and try to reassure yourself of the tiny chance you have of dying. Try a little yoga which may sound crazy but it will help you or take hot baths everynight and listen to calming music and teach yourself to let any negative thoughts pass through. Do not try and stop your thoughts but learn to train them instead of them leading you. Hope this helps.

You'll have to accept one day you will die but, untill that day just live life as best as you can. The chances of you have a freak accident is less than .01% but for all you know a sky diving clown might crash through your roof in 2 seconds. Just keep your self busy and dont think about it.
